HI!

I'm Jennifer Skaw

Are you weary of facing a battle?

Are you looking for some guidance for your exact circumstance?

Would you be encouraged to have a cheerleader who could walk through your trials with you, pointing you to Christ the whole way?

Have you considered 1:1 coaching from a sister in Christ?

Please allow me to help.
I would love to be that cheerleader for you.

Introducing

More Power Than You Think...

Refers to the power we have been given through Christ to choose an amazing life that is not dependent on our thoughts, our emotions, other people, or the circumstances around us. It is the power that comes by basing our life on God's promises instead of our circumstances. It is based on our God-given power to choose.

What is
More Power Than You Think
Coaching?

Think of it as a short season of training with a coach to help you get grounded and strengthened so you can jump back into the game of life ready to claim victory.

Sometimes we need some temporary help to get unstuck, adjust our perspective, or simply get invigorated and encouraged to keep pressing on as good soldiers for Christ.

It doesn't have to be forever.
A session or two may be all you need.

Coaching means we share the burden together, dive into God's Word for answers, and come up with a winning game plan that keeps you basking in God's will and living abundantly.

God was my rescue, and can be yours too!

In 2013, during a suicidal depression, I was diagnosed with bipolar II.  After 22 months of psychiatric drugs and enduring severe side effects and allergic reactions, I had no choice but to stop.

But I was still suicidal.

God used my fragile state to teach me the power His Word has to transform our lives even when our circumstances stay messy.

My bipolar is now stable and my life has been transformed!

I have a passion to equip and encourage women to claim and apply the power they have through Christ to choose an amazing life that is not dependent on their thoughts, emotions, other people, or the circumstances around them.

I teach of the power that comes from basing our lives on God's promises, and based on our God-given power to choose, so we can live, love, and be loved in the way Christ intended.

Let's Work Together!

Try not to be nervous or afraid to seek some help.

We are sisters in Christ, co-laborers, and we can add friendship to that list as we navigate together this life of blessings and trials.

We need each other!

My commitment to you is that I will listen and speak with a heart that is guided by the love and discernment of the Spirit.

My commitment to you is to keep myself surrendered to God's leading so I can guide you in a way that aligns with Scripture and keeps you in God's will.

My commitment to you is to speak truth in love, to say the things you may not be able to say to yourself, so that you can get the help you need to move through the circumstances that are keeping you burdened or stuck.

What to Expect

Will we solve every circumstance?
What is the outcome we are looking for from our time together?

My passion is to equip and empower women to purposely choose thoughts and beliefs aligned and founded on Truth so they can live the victorious, joyful life Christ intended.

The purpose of this Christ-centered coaching is not necessarily to help women change their circumstances. (Although this could be part of the outcome.) If we were to focus only on changing circumstances, then our happiness would depend on others. Often in life, we cannot control our circumstances or the people around us.  If this is our focus we can despair and lose hope. But God promises abundant life no matter what our circumstances are.  This is how we take back control and have "more power than we think."

My desire is to help women get through their circumstances with Christ's point of view, allowing them to live victoriously, maintain control of their emotions and perspective, stay in or regain deep fellowship with God, and get to the finish line to hear the Savior say, "Well done."

Important Details...

  • I am not trained to help you with matters needing a diagnosis, adjusting medications, or specialty care.
  • Although I personally have a bipolar diagnosis, I am not a mental health professional and cannot give medical advice.
  • If you are in a life or death crisis, experiencing flashbacks or PTSD, or experiencing trauma from sexual abuse or violence, I recommend you first see someone trained to help you in these areas. I have not received training to keep you safe in these scenarios.
  • If you are under 18, I must get permission from a legal guardian before we can work together.
  • If I believe your need is beyond my experience, I will be honest and tell you so. Your safety and healing is my top priority! If you are not sure if I can help you, send over an email first to [email protected]

So how CAN I help?

  • Think of me more as a coach than a counselor.
  • My coaching is action based, meaning, we will get a good understanding of your needs, then come up with a scriptural game plan for you to take action on a daily, moment-by-moment, thought-by-thought basis.
  • Most of this healing/transforming work is done in your mind, and outwardly through fellowship with God in conversation and getting in His word.
  • I became stable from suicidal, bipolar depression by renewing my mind, getting in God's Word, prayer, using life-management skills, and receiving counseling. Since I have tested and proved these things to be highly effective in bringing spiritual freedom, transformation, close fellowship with God and stability, this is the structure of my coaching.
  • Having a trusted friend to get through a trial with and to help you stay on God's path is a huge part of victory. You, God and I will make a "three-fold cord" that is not quickly broken! Eccl. 4:12

"Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.

For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.

And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken."
Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, 12
